OK, so people are being killed right and left in the Maghreb, but there always time for some light entertainment: Here’s Michael Collins Dunn with a post on the intricacies of transliterating Arabic into English, which, among other things, quotes one of my favorite pieces by the much-underestimated writer, as distinct from colonizer, T. E. Lawrence.
