Tunisia in shock!

Tunisia has entered a major political crisis, after the preliminary presidential election results were revealed. They confirm a trend of the president’s popularity dropping like a stone, and Tunisians now see the end of the Ben Ali era approaching fast. If voter approval keeps slipping at the same rate, he’ll be thrown out of office after the 2044 elections:

    Brilliant Alle! As a Maghrebist, I am concerned about this dip in Ben ‘Ali’s popularity and think it deserves further scholarly investigation.

    89.6% not a typo? Could be 98.6% I guess.

    No. Unfortunately not a typo Tidinit. Ben ‘Ali received 89.62% of the general vote. In a couple of regions, he received as high as 99% of the vote.
